Using Qigong, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, inclding I Chuan (standing meditation) we can develop our internal energy and activate the natural healing abilities of our body. When our energies are in balance it takes our life experience to a whole new level. We feel connected, vibrant and balanced in body, mind and spirit.

Qigong roughly translated means energy work or energy cultivation. It is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine that uses breathing techniques, gentle movement, meditation and self massage to cultivate the Three Treasure; Jing (Essence) Qi (Internal Energy) and Shen (Spirit) By learning to use the mind, body and breath to promote the free flow of Qi it is possible to rid the energy system of blockages and strengthen all internal organs and systems of the body, including the endocrine system, lymphatic drainage system and nervous system. Which enables us to gain a stronger, healthier body and a peaceful state of mind.

Kundalini Yoga is also known as the yoga of awareness. It is a science of mind and body which combines physical exercise, meditation, mantras and breathing techniques to awaken the full potential of human awareness in each individual. It gives us the power to listen deeply and cultivate inner stillness. Kundalini energy lays at the base of the spine. With practice we can awaken this energy to harmonize and balance the glandular and nervous system and align and activate the subtle energy systems of the chakras an meridians. This gives us more energy, creativity, peace and a heightened state of awareness.
We will also use simple, effective, easy to remember techniques that can be used at home on a daily basis to improve health, gain emotional balance and promote a peaceful state of mind.

By Car

Located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532).
At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named "Dolle". Opposite of it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat.

Places connected by the Fernpassstraße
Füssen – Reutte – Heiterwang – Lermooser Tunnel – Fernpass (AlpenRetreat) – Nassereith. At the border-tunnel in Füssen the Fernpassstrasse connects with the federal highway 310 and the A 7. In Nassereith it merges into the B 189 along the Inntal (Inn valley) in direction south-east towards Telfs and in south-west direction towards Imst.

In winter it is compulsory in Austria to have winter tires on your car. Although the Fernpassstrasse is well maintained and therefore easily accessible, sometimes the streets can still be covered in snow. In exceptional cases snow chains may be required (very rarely). If you are coming with a rental car, make sure it is equipped with winter tires (the rental company is obliged to provide this).
