Teachers
Silvia Stojanovic
Yogi Mum, dedicated surfer and Motivational Speaker, Portugal based, conscious and constant creator of life changing experiences, certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and at all times on the search for new yoga insights. Silvia was born in Germany and raised between 3 countrys. Germany, Greece and Serbia. She is a very devoted yoga practitioner and student of yoga for many years who believes that within each student lies a vast wellspring of love and potential, and it’s her job as a teacher to bring that out.
After completing her 3 years studies in Sports in Germany, Silvia found yoga as her most important missing piece in life and felt the deep wish to share this ancient way of communicating with the own body and started teaching the Hatha Yoga method at 2004.
Silvias teachings are rooted in authenticity, she is humbled and honoured to teach what she has learned, therefore her classes focus on providing an experience that is physically, mentally, and emotionally transformative. She delivers amazing classes and workshops and uses her lighthearted and playful approach to encourage people to practice to the fullest.
Filipa Veiga
After studying Law at the University of Lisbon and working as a reporter at one of the largest private TV channels in Portugal for over 12 years, Filipa changed her life. She now dedicates herself full-time to yoga, practising, teaching, and writing about everything related to wellbeing and inner growth.
It was in Bali that the big change happened. She lived in Ubud – the mecca of yoga – for over 4 years with her family. It was a wonderful experience and it gave her the opportunity to teach at the most recognised yoga centres, such as Radiantly Alive and Taksu. She also participated in various
retreats on the Island of the Gods and taught at international yoga festivals, such as the Bali Spirit Festival.
Filipa started practising Ashtanga Yoga more than 10 years ago in Casa Vinyasa with Isa Guitana and Tarik, her primary teachers. Since embarking on this new journey through yoga, the experience has been both rewarding and challenging. Driven by a feeling of certainty of having chosen the right path, she systematically engaged in
studies and travelled to India to research more elements about the practice. Since 2013 she travels every year to Mysore, in India, to study with her teacher ParamaGuru, Sharath Jois. During her fourth trip to Mysore, her teacher granted her the honour and blessing to teach the traditional method according to the Krisna Pathabi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI).
In parallel, Filipa is studying Ayurveda with her teacher Dr. Chitralekha, from the Ayurveda Medical College in Mysore.

By Car
Located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532).
At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named "Dolle". Opposite of it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat.
Places connected by the Fernpassstraße
Füssen – Reutte – Heiterwang – Lermooser Tunnel – Fernpass (AlpenRetreat) – Nassereith. At the border-tunnel in Füssen the Fernpassstrasse connects with the federal highway 310 and the A 7. In Nassereith it merges into the B 189 along the Inntal (Inn valley) in direction south-east towards Telfs and in south-west direction towards Imst.
In winter it is compulsory in Austria to have winter tires on your car. Although the Fernpassstrasse is well maintained and therefore easily accessible, sometimes the streets can still be covered in snow. In exceptional cases snow chains may be required (very rarely). If you are coming with a rental car, make sure it is equipped with winter tires (the rental company is obliged to provide this).
