SoulEthos | Flow State Retreat
A life optimizing experience. Our holistic retreats are designed to encourage self-discovery, enhance the ability to access Flow State, elevate creativity, engage with the world more harmoniously, expand your capacity to recognise old patterns and make new habits, and evoke well-being to take home with you. This unique program is composed of thought-provoking exercises to inspire deep introspection and sustainable change. Intensive breath-work invokes altered states of consciousness, playful movement links mind to body via hand-eye coordination, guided journaling and discussion leads to profound self-realization.
Meditation, yoga, healthy cuisine, and relaxation support the self-inquiry desired by souls seeking deeper meaning – our ethos.
With very limited numbers of guests in an exquisite setting, we are able to unwind, disconnect from the external world and focus on spiritual,
intellectual, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
The gentle vibes of the AlpenRetreat naturally inspire us to slow down and savor the sweet surroundings. Ideal for those wishing to spend time alone,
to connect with nature and reconnect with themselves, as well as for those inspired to join forces with like-hearted souls.
To be well is to be whole. Breath. Mind. Body. Soul.

About the teachers
For over 15 years, Richard has worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach in High Performance Sport, with some of the best organizations and athletes in the world. Diving, football, judo, boxing, snowboarding, skiing… He has supported teams in preparation for two Summer Olympic Games – London 2012 and Rio 2016 – and is currently working with the GB Park and Pipe squad for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang.
Whilst working in Beijing, China, Richard’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so he left in early 2015 to care for her during the final stages of her disease. That was life changing. It sparked a momentous shift in perspective, self-discovery, consciousness, and desire to learn what life really means.
Travel and an openness to experience different cultures have helped him discover practices that continue to guide and heal the grief. This is why wellbeing has become Richard’s focus and passion. It’s not just about performance – it’s about helping as many people as possible by sharing new perspectives, facilitating fun and effective ways to move, and generally optimizing life.

Anna, international yoga teacher and teacher trainer, sparkled in Los Angeles as a designer, entrepreneur and yogi, but her heart desired adventure and knowledge… So for seven years she traveled the earth focusing on humanitarianism; en route, practicing and teaching yoga classes, workshops, festivals and teacher trainings. Nearly 100 of her graduates are currently teaching worldwide.
Since 1998, Anna has been fortunate to have studied with renowned teachers around the globe, all of whom have shaped her own practice and teaching approach. Her dharma is sharing her passion for spiritual balance, and she devotes herself to exploring this – as a student and a teacher.
Anna’s love for playful motion and holistic wellbeing is her offering – she aims to assist others in discovering and nurturing their ethos. She believes it’s deep rooted passion which sparks the joy that will maintain a strong self-practice, peace of mind, a happy life, and the ability and authenticity to share it with others.

Located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532).
At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named "Dolle". Opposite of it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat.
Places connected by the Fernpassstraße
Füssen – Reutte – Heiterwang – Lermooser Tunnel – Fernpass (AlpenRetreat) – Nassereith. At the border-tunnel in Füssen the Fernpassstrasse connects with the federal highway 310 and the A 7. In Nassereith it merges into the B 189 along the Inntal (Inn valley) in direction south-east towards Telfs and in south-west direction towards Imst.
In winter it is compulsory in Austria to have winter tires on your car. Although the Fernpassstrasse is well maintained and therefore easily accessible, sometimes the streets can still be covered in snow. In exceptional cases snow chains may be required (very rarely). If you are coming with a rental car, make sure it is equipped with winter tires (the rental company is obliged to provide this).
