In Balance- Yin & Yang Yoga Weekend with Laurie Stettner
Experience in the wonderful ambience of Alpenretreat in beautiful Tirol in Austria a special recreative weekend with Jivamukti and Yin Yoga. The heating active Yoga practice in the tradition of Jivamukti Yoga will get complemented by the magic of aware restorative Yin Yoga.
Hatha Yoga means unity/bringing together from sun (ha) and moon (tha). This means the goal is to reunite light and darkness, power and softness, activity and letting go, masculinity and femininity – thus polarities. The need of these polarities is it to build unity as it is the whole principle of any existence. So in every one of us lives this principle of Yin and Yang. Our task is it to bring both of them in equal balance to function as a unite in and for ourselves.

About the teacher:
Laurie Stettner is experienced Advanced Jivamukti Yoga teacher, Yin Yoga teacher, bodywork therapist and artist. She works as a freelanced singer, dancer and passionate Yoga teacher as well as a Kirtan singer and travelling Yogini giving retreats and work shops all over the world. Her degree in Thai Yoga massage and fascia work gives her a deeper understanding for the physical and energetical body.
Laurie found her way to Yoga while dancing through life. After a classical dance education followed by participating in Musical Academy Munich she became a dancer and singer and finally studied contemporary dance at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance.
In Yoga she found her anchor and a place to rest. So Laurie completed a Vinyasa Yoga education. Ultimately she discovered Jivamukti Yoga, became an excited student and graduated the Jivamukti teacher training. At Jivamukti Yoga Center Munich she continuesly did her apprenticeship with Antje Schäfer as her teacher and successfully passed the Jivamukti advanced board. Complementary she concluded with a Yin Yoga education.
Yoga gives Laurie a feeling of belonging and arrival.
Thanking her teachers (Antje Schäfer, Petros Haffenrichter, Yogeswari, Sharon Gannon & David Life) Yoga means passion for her and is an attitude towards life worth living after by respecting every beeing on earth as equal and free.

How to find us

By Car
Located on the Tyrolean Fernpass, in the north-west of Austria, close to the German border the AlpenRetreat is easily reached via the Fernpassstrasse B179 (E532).
At the top of the Fernpass (Fernpasshöhe) there is a petrol station named "Dolle". Opposite of it on the other side of the street is a roadside restaurant (Fernpaß Rast), a red building, and a big yellow building (the former Fernpass hotel). Follow the small street between the restaurant and the yellow house for about 200m and you have reached the AlpenRetreat.
Places connected by the Fernpassstraße
Füssen – Reutte – Heiterwang – Lermooser Tunnel – Fernpass (AlpenRetreat) – Nassereith. At the border-tunnel in Füssen the Fernpassstrasse connects with the federal highway 310 and the A 7. In Nassereith it merges into the B 189 along the Inntal (Inn valley) in direction south-east towards Telfs and in south-west direction towards Imst.
In winter it is compulsory in Austria to have winter tires on your car. Although the Fernpassstrasse is well maintained and therefore easily accessible, sometimes the streets can still be covered in snow. In exceptional cases snow chains may be required (very rarely). If you are coming with a rental car, make sure it is equipped with winter tires (the rental company is obliged to provide this).

Our pick up service is meant for arrivals where public transportation is not possible anymore. Please try to reach Lermoos, Nassereith or Imst on your own.
