We had a dream. The dream of community, of a conscious and healthy lifestyle. To find roots in the nature of the land on which we live. Spiritual practice, which gives everybody involved the possibility to work on their personal spiritual evolution, their challenges and dreams. Since 2012 our dream is unfolding and growing as the Yoga Resort AlpenRetreat on 1212m altitude in the Tyrolean Alps.
We found a 500 year old former manor house on the Fernpass and settled down. We have lived and learned for several years in spiritual communities in countries like India, Thailand, Nepal, Mexico and Peru.
Five acres of land and our own fresh water springs lay the foundation for future self-sufficiency of the AlpenRetreat. The foundation for a community in our homeland is laid. We are surrounded by mountains, forests and lakes. They are part of our spiritual life and sharpen our attention.
We offer a variety of courses, retreats and workshops from different spiritual traditions. We are lucky that we have the opportunity to learn together with spiritual masters and guest teachers from different countries and lineages. We ourselves are internationally certified Yoga teachers and were trained by masters such as Swami Giri Shankarananda (Kriya Yoga), Guruji Rajkumar Baswar (Tantra Yoga – Meditation), Prem Baba (Sachcha mission), Swami Muktananda (Sivananda liniage) and Swami Vivekananda Saraswati (Hatha Yoga). Our courses are based on in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and personal experiences.
Our focus of expertise are Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Kundalini yoga, Japa Yoga, Vipassana Meditation, Kriya Yoga, spiritual singing, Sufi dance, and other forms of spiritual practice.
The AlpenRetreat is our home and here we are living and sharing our dream. Yoga, meditation and spiritual evolution are our life. To create an environment where everyone can be as he/she is and can strive with like-minded people for deeper understanding, harmony and self-discovery, is the primary goal of this community.
