I just came from a 2 week retreat and I can't stop thinking how great this experience was. The place is very cosy and it's surroundings are amazing. The mountains, the waterfall, the autumn colors... Also, the team is wonderful. Warm hearted people, kind, always with a smile for you and excellent cuisine chefs 🙂 I do highly recommend this place and their retreats ***

The Alpine Retreat is a wonderful place to get away and reconnect with nature, friends, or just yourself. Marie, our hostess, was wonderfully friendly, welcoming, and offered lots of suggestions for things we could do in the area. We went showshoeing, tobogganing, and hiking. If you are able to share a dinner from the kitchen - do it! The vegetarian food is awesome -- perfect healthy and hearty food to wrap up a day of outdoor activity. The rooms are tidy and decorated with a surprisingly fluid mix of old Tirol and Eastern styles. The faint aroma of incense freshens the hallways, and a large open yoga and meditation room (which was always open for use!) encourages utter relaxation. The retreat is kind of out of the way, but that's really what makes it so great-- amazing views of the mountains and hiking opportunities right outside. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

I just stayed at AlpenRetreat for a long weekend and was surprised with such a relaxing and inspiring time, that it felt like an entire holiday – far away from everyday life. Everyone was authentically warm and comforting. People from the retreat, not only shared their truly lovely place, but also stories from their lives. Everything far far succeeded my expectations. A spontaneous snow board lesson in puffy powdery snow, an intro to meditation, the opportunity to practice yoga, cuddling up to the old fashioned tile oven (Kachelofen), meaningful conversations over food prepared with love and creativity... what more can you possibly wish for? Thank you so much! I will find some time to return, for sure.

Fraser, Beatrice, Wolfgang and Jan are the amazing people that run The Alpen Retreat, which is a big, beautiful chalet overlooking stunning mountains. The food which I was lucky to eat while I was there was of amazing quality, and all my needs were more than met. I loved my stay, and indeed have new friends that I'm looking forward to seeing again. Can't recommend enough!

WOW. This was a new experience for us! This Alpenretreat was completely different than any other place we stayed while visiting Bavaria and Austria. We were welcomed into their facility with open arms and were made to feel like family immediately. We did not realize that their was a dance workshop going on at the same time, which was fine and had people from all different places in attendance. We were one of two couples there that booked through AirBNB. It is a very "new-age" type of place with Buddah(s) and Karma-type items strewed about. They had lots of tea and coffee available at all times. The hosts were more than accommodating to us and the WIFI signal was good for being in the middle of the alps. We also forgot our credit card there and they promptly mailed it to us with no problems. If you are looking for a picturesque place in the alps for relaxation, meditation and delicious vegetarian cooking than look no further! 🙂

We had a fantastic stay in the AlpenRetraet recently and really enjoyed our time. All people there were sooo lovely. We booked for 4 Nights and enjoyed our great time with the lovely located rooms in the middle of beautiful mountains and forest. The view was fantastic when you wake up in the morning and look outside of your room. The food was great and organic and cooked fresh every day. Many thanks to Beatrice, Wolfgang, Jan and all the others. We will definitely come back in Summer or Winter. In Winter time the beautiful surrounding invites you for great skiing experience. The organization was fantastic and you should definitely book your stay in combination with the great Yoga offerings. The yoga room has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and a great view as well.

The AlpenRetreat was the highlight of our trip. It's location in the Alps is beautiful, but the people were even better. We arrived in the later evening and they prepared a wonderful dinner for us. We ended up staying up talking into the early morning with the folks staying and living there. Our group ranged in age from 14 to 66 and all loved it. I expect to return for a visit again in the future.

Staying at the Alpen Retreat was the highlight of our European traveling! Jan, Sara, Fraser, and the rest of the staff were unbelievably kind and welcoming. We felt totally at home with everyone in this very special place. We really wished we could have stayed longer and joined in some of the activities at the house! The meals we did share with everyone were delicious and healthy. There are lots of wonderful hiking/biking trails nearby. Hopefully we will be able to return one day!

AlpenRetreat is a special place with special people. We loved it and wished that we booked to stay longer. Our kids also loved it. The food was spectacular and abundant (they grow their own organic garden). I was so refreshing to eat clean healthy food while traveling. Hiking around the retreat was beautiful and we really wished to hike more. Our rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We stayed in the mountain suite since we had four people. This was a lovely reprieve from the crazy tourist places that were also on our agenda. A great place to recharge and relax. Everyone here is friendly, warm, interesting and inspiring.

We had a lovely stay at the AlpenRetreat! Fraser and Beatrice were very welcoming and had all sorts of suggestions and useful information on the area. The house was very pretty and extremely comfortable. It has been renovated very tastefully and is full of light. We also opted to have dinner and breakfast at the house on several occasions and the food was excellent. Finally, the house's location is perfect for a number of walks in the mountains but is not far from a main road that'll take you to Innsbruck in 50 mins...very highly recommended!

The Alpenretreat is absolutely recommendable! We were warmly welcomed, the impressive house and the rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished. The yoga classes and the yoga room are great and the food delicious. We would like to come back!

We (2 adults and 3 teenagers) stayed for 2 nights in the Alpen retreat on our way from the UK to Italy. The thoughtfulness and friendliness of our hosts was superb. Breakfast was available for us when we arrived at 10.00am in the morning after driving through the night. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a delicious lunch and dinner and it inspired me to cook more healthily when I get home. Advice on how to make the most of the short time we had in the area was given with a smile (we swam in Blindsee and went on the cable car ride and toboggan run in Hoch Imst). A truly relaxing stay on our holiday.. Thank you to everyone we met there!

We are a family with little kids. We stayed at the Alpenretreat for two nights and wish we could have stayed more. The house is in a great location in the middle of nature in beautiful surrounding and yet very close to the highway. The house is beautifully and renovated and has an impressive history and warm character. Most important are the amazing team operating the house. All are warm, kind and easygoing. There is always someone in the house to look after you. Any request was fully answered immediately. We (including the little ones of course) felt welcomed and warm right as we stepped in. We happily and strongly recommend the Alpenretreat.

Both the location and the AlpenRetreat team were absolutely outstanding! The whole area is one of the loveliest I have experienced in Europe with treks (for all ages and fitness levels) through mountain passes and gorges, beautiful lakes and sensational views. The retreat itself is at the perfect locations and the vegetarian food was wholesome and delicious. Water pressure was perfect, rooms were very clean and comfortable and the atmosphere is truly relaxed thanks to the spiritual people who run the retreat. They even took the extra effort to make for us a birthday cake. We will certainly be back!

An excellent place to stay. Amazing views just like in the photos. Great views everywhere actually, just driving to this location is amazing. The house has a calm and relaxing enviroment with spacious rooms and good use of exposed timber everywhere. I would love to stay here again and take some more time exploring the area.

Very well located on the way between Bavaria and Tyrol, close to the road for easy access but very calm, surrounded by amazing nature (mountains, river, forest, lake). Beautiful guest house, 500 years old, well renovated. Tasty home-cooked vegetarian food and herbal tea from the garden. Generous breakfast. Friendly and welcoming host community. Atmosphere influenced by yoga and well-being. House serving both for yoga retreats and bnb.

We were greatly impressed with the very beautiful setting of the AlpenRetreat nestled below majestic Austrian mountain peaks, and praised God for His glorious creation. Spacious rooms (we especially liked the green sitting room and the large dining area), the excellent vegan food (at our request), and the people we met from all over the world: Scotland, Israel, England, Czech Republic, and of course Austria, made this place very special to us. Fraser and Beatrice were wonderful hosts and have put everything in place to create a delightful retreat. Book your stay with AlpenRetreat, it will be a feast for all your senses!

We spent one night at this beautiful spot. Scenery was amazing as was the history of the property. The best part though was the hospitality of our hosts. Rooms were large with spectacular views of the mountains with balcony, surpassing our expectations.. Breakfast was amazing with a great selection. Coffee or tea was available 24 hours per day. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend

Extremely clean and comfortable, not a 5 star hotel but a home away from home up in the mountains, fraser was a perfect host and was available to us for our every need, not that we had any need, the place was perfect, other guests were also very nice and the whole atmosphere was very calm and hospitable. both me and my friends who were there will defenitly come back whenever we'll be back in Austria.

Loved every minute of our stay. The people were friendly and welcoming. The house is clean, the rooms are good size, the views are unbeatable and there is great energy in the house. You either have to come with all of your meals or choose the meal option. Hands down, take the food option. I did not want to leave because the food was that good. It is all vegetarian and possible the best food I've ever eaten. Frazier is a magician with desserts and soups. They always have hot water so you can help yourself to tea. Or coffee anytime of day. I sat on the balcony and had hot tea and snuggled into a blanket. They offer massages. You must have one. Must. Make sure to bring cash because the nearest ATM or cash machine is 15 minutes away. We did not have a car so getting around was a little difficult. I would take them up on the offer to get a ride from the train station. The buses come infrequently and althoughr the drive is pretty, it takes an hour and a half by bus verses 30 minutes by car. It is worth the money. We loved it. We cannot say enough good things about our experience and the people.

The AlpenRetreat is in a beautiful old house, the people are all very friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! Be sure to check out the Kachelofen (wood stove) in the Stube (den) - they (almost) don't make 'em like that anymore! Highly recommended!

Very cozy place in the mountains. Chilled and family like atmosphere. Went on a beautiful walk through the snow to a little creek. Would always stay there again.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Fraser answered our questions very quickly as we contemplated our stay at AlpenRetreat. We called to say that we were coming in later than we had originally anticipated yet Fraser and his wife were very gracious in welcoming and accommodating us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the view outstanding! We would stay again if in the area.

A truly beautiful location with an amazing view, clean and nicely decorated rooms and a very good breakfast. The tea with herbs from their own garden was a lovely touch, as well as all the homemade jams. Everyone we met during our stay was very friendly. Definitely a place we would recommend and return to ourselves.

My friends and I love love loved this retreat!!! Unfortunately we were only in Nassereith for 2 nights but it was gorgeous. We stayed in a 3 bedroom with a balcony. It was our favorite place we stayed at in our 2 1/2 week vacation. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed 3 days, 4 nights and I liked everything - the hosts, their team, the house, the food. It was just a very nice short break with skiing. I would love to try the yoga classes too, but this will be hopefully another time 😉

The Alpen Retreat was a great place to stay at and rejuvenate mind and body together. I was impressed by the openness of Beatrice, Fraser, Wolfgang and Jan and their friends. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful and peaceful retreat! Although we arrived very late at night we felt very welcome, the door was open and the tea hot. The location is great to visit different skiing areas. The rooms were clean, spacy and nicely decorated. As for the food, especially breakfast was great with fresh baked bread and all sorts of nuts, mueslis and fruits. If you like a yogic atmosphere very much recommended!

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay at Alpen Retreat. The surrounds are simply beautiful, and the retreat is very homely. We had beautiful views from our room and the yoga room was even better. The team at Alpen retreat were very welcoming and helpful. They had a great selection of tea and very nice meals if you don't want to leave the retreat. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well each night. Thank you very much for a lovely stay. James
